Important: Kaldi roasters do not include a heat source. You'll need a mini gas stove (gasskjøkken, gassbluss) as a heat source. A stove can be purchased from a local hardware store such as Biltema, Jula, Clas Ohlson The roaster must be operated outdoors or in a location with proper ventilation. The drum is the most important part of the coffee roaster. The drum on the Kaldi roaster is made from 2mm thick stainless steel and perforated with 3mm holes. The interior of the drum has three agitator blades to keep the coffee mixing evenly.
